Construction of the Year
The contest “Budowa Roku” (Construction of the Year) is organised by the Polish Association of Civil Engineers and Technicians with the participation of the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Main Construction Supervision Office.
Contest winners are chosen from among structures erected in a given year, which are characterised by the top quality of works and modern solutions and which also constitute the outstanding achievements in Polish engineering.
Prizes are awarded in the following categories:
• Housing
• Industrial building
• Public building
• Trade and Exhibition Centres
• Office and administration buildings
• Road and railway structures
• Structures associated with revitalisation, conservation and modernisation of monuments
“Construction of the Year 2009” was a jubilee edition – the contest celebrated its 20th anniversary and the record number of companies took part.
